What a Party!

After realizing the Florida humidity was going to win the hair battle, I gave up and just went with the flow. I have never felt heat like that in my life but managed my way through it. Shiny face and all, I had an exciting time at the premiere party and met even more wonderful people!
Here I thought- Let's go out for a little walk and see what this humidity is all about ;-) Ack! Help...I'm dying here! Luckily I was quickly side tracked by the beautiful surroundings.

I would love one of these. They were absolutely beautiful :-) I have no clue how to drive one, take one to the water and take it home again but I would be perfectly happy just sitting in it in my driveway :-D

AHHHHHHHHHHH...This is the hotel I was staying in

oooooooooooooooooooo...

I finished my circle around the hotel and decided to head back in for the air conditioning! This one I call...Tania finds a piano :-)

While taking a picture from the third floor, I see something on the first floor. Is that a bar? I decide it needed further investigation!

Awwww...come on Bartender Pat. I know what time it is but I'm here on special assignment! ;-) Besides it looks like a breakfast smoothy...no?

Yummm! :-D

I always check my hair on camera to see how others see me and figure this looked fine for a party. Well, as you will see through the night there seems to be no end to my hair 'biggness' hahahha
Here's Ellen, from Discovery Channel , she manages shows Discovery airs. We both came without a date, so we stuck together throughout the party when we weren't off chit chatting to others. After the party we ate yummy nachoes! Thank you for the fantastic company Ellen!

This is Steve Jones from Original Productions and he's a show runner. He's responsible for the day to day operation of television series and is a specialist in the creation of shows. He knew who I was- teehee. What a friendly & lovely man! :-D

Here's Billy Mays the 3rd. A very sweet young man. I downloaded his music and was excited to see a CD in the swag gifts but when it came time to collect the gifts, I was chatting away, as usual and they ran out. This was completely okay, but I really wanted that CD. So what do i do? The same as any other self respecting 42 yr old lady would do...I asked a lovely young lady if I could have hers. hahaha...so off I walk with my new CD in hand :-) And for this? The lovely young lady gets a plug ;-)
Billy's Music, Soft Words Traverse, is just lovely. You can learn more about it and have downloads HERE

Thank you for the CD KellyJo!(2nd from the left). These lovley ladies are called Heroine...as in super women ;-) An all women rock band from Florida; they're friendly, sweet and you can find out more about them at by clicking HERE

I seem to be less shy with the more 'refreshments' I drink and the heat also seems to be less bothersome; so the night goes on while I become sweatier and shinier. Here's Carla. She works with Arwin in writing commercials and directing for Sullivan Productions. A couple of beautiful and creative ladies! Phew...it's hot in here. I think I need another 'soda' ;-) Arwin was there in the beginning of the party in such beautiful glamour. Her red hair was perfect for her emerald dress. Unfortunately I missed my opportunity in the beginning of the evening because I was too shy and after that, I just didn't bump into her anywhere. It was super duper packed there.

Here's Kevin Harrington. I don't think he's a vicious shark, but then again, I'm not swimming in the water with him! He has far more to offer inventors than you may know! Learn more about that  HERE

This is John Creamans. He's a pioneer in the home shopping industry (The doctor of shopping) and owns Creamans Media. Can you tell I'm holding the camera? The thing with taking the 'self portrait' is the taller the people, the higher up I'm looking! John is an extremely funny man with a wonderful personality. No wonder everyone loves him! Learn more about him HERE!
Here's Sully's right hand WO-man..Jennifer, from Sullivan Productions. Her eyes were glowing red so I changed this to black & white. She's beautiful and brilliant and I was going to speak with her on the red carpet but I went to the ladies room and then was side tracked by chatter :-D. I did speak with a reporter but I'm always a bit quiet about BA'NOODLE! because I'm not sure how much I should say before the episode airs :-)  OMGoodness...I didn't feel tipsy but my tongue didn't seem to be working with me~ LOL.

Ahhhh...Billy Mays art. There was a row of art up for auction that I wanted so badly. There was no way I could compete in an auction, so I just admired it while I was there :-)

Here's Mr. AJ Khubani. Yes- I did call him MR. Khubani as I think I was terrified to call him anything else- LOL. He was just about to leave with his lovely family when he was gracious enough to have his photo taken with me. I have watched every interview he has ever given and hang onto every word he offers. What else can I say...WOW! :-D
Here's his company...TELEBRANDS

Here's Pete. He does all kinds of things at Sullivan Productions and wears his Billy Mays pin proudly! I loved the way he worked with the little angel actress on the BA'NOODLE! DRTV spot. LOL- he even crouched down to match her little height! He makes sound bites which are like the icing 'on the cake' for commercials and has a very kind spirit.

You saw him on season 1 of Pitchmen. He had a scary story, but is a survivor! :-D
He has the wonderful Grater Plater and is a former pitchman himself. Oh no...it doesn't stop there! He and Michael Sullivan...also nicknamed Sully (yes- Anthony's brother) formed a fantastic band together called  Meet Me At the Pub. I love the band because not only do they have their own songs, but I swear they can play and sing perfectly any song one requests! To find out more about them and hear their music click HERE!

Here's Bonnie who is a producer from Original Productions. Bonnie also has four children, like myself. Here's to having 4 children! *clink* Here's to leaving them all at home!*clink*...okay, I MAY have made that last toast up...or did I? heehee! Bonnie loves one of my new inventions and I'm always excited when someone loves something I think up. I'm also happy when someone just takes the time to look and evaluate, even if it's not positive.

In the center you see a lovely inventor. She invented the EZstringer. She's sweet and friendly and I thought the world of meeting her! That's Bonnie on the right...again...hahaha...I love you Bonnie! :-p

Oh darn! I forgot to ask her name because I was in 'silly mode' This lovely lady asked me if I was in her facility earlier in the day. HUH? what facility? So I asked...what is it that you sell? She thought she recognized my hair. So- Turns out she has a physio therapy business in Tampa. WOW- that's cool and right now my feet could use it as I haven't worn heels in over 10 years and my right toes are numb...but no, I was not there. Then I asked- Can I take your picture and title it..The lady who thought she knew me? She agreed and here she is  :-)))

He's a man with an invention! A fitness master. We spoke about the vicious circle of tired = no exercise and eating the wrong things to try and obtain energy. I'm working on it :-)

Ok- Are they getting taller or am I shrinking? This is Walt from Identity STRONGHOLD   both Walt and his wife are super nice people and I now sport one of their wallets. The pink one...and I LOVE it!

Can you tell? These men are SUPER tall and I STILL cut off their heads while giving you the pleasure of pretty much looking up my nostrils! The gentleman on the right works on HSN and the gentleman on the left works in manufacturing. It's late and I'm used to being in bed at this time...I look terrible...but hey! That's just the way it goes. It's hot and super humid and I was having fun!

Here's Brett. She's lovely and sweet and she's mommy to Sully's baby. We first met in L.A back in June and she had me in stitches!
There were people I missed because my camera lost its charge but I wish everyone the world of success!
Thank you Sarah, Peter, and Rob!

Here' my hero, Sully. I always wish people the best and I wish Sully and Brett the most perfect life with their baby.

I hope you've enjoyed my pictures. I love to travel on my own because I meet so many amazing people. Although shy is what comes naturally for me, I love and thrive on the opposite! I love figuring my way around new places and meeting people.

If you have something you want Sully to see, here's the place to go. I recommend him to all inventors!

Billy Mays Day

Tribute to Billy Mays video.  There's not much to say about this other than I found it hilarious in the beginning with the pitch meter and his obvious grace in some scenes~LOL! Then by the end I was feeling heart broken for all who miss him in their lives.

I'm baaaaaack!

Weeks have passed and I'm back to hear the numbers for the test spot on Ba'Noodles. How can one NOT be terrified? This is the moment. The moment that can only end two possible ways for me... a victory or a train wreck!

So here's how I START the day before the show. See? makeup! Don't worry...it doesn't last. Moments after I arrive on set I'm crying again. hahaha~ That's okay, they are all people with hearts of gold and I still totally LOVE them all! XXX

I could not have wished for a better way and my entire family gives a huge heartsoaked 'Thank you' to Sully and his amazing team for bringing BA'NOODLE! to market. When we saw that Sully put his name on the product I darn near hopped through the roof...talk about icing on the cake!

The episode I appear in is titled, Waves of Success.

3...2..1..ACTION!

After all the shopping me and my son ,Michael, finished it was off to the studio. A beautiful home where he enjoyed the crew snack table, the backyard tanning and peaking in on me as the day went by.
This is 'mom' from the the commercial shoot  She did a wonderful job. This photo was taken shortly after an emotional interview for me, so as the day goes on I just got worse looking. The makeup cries off, I begin sticking my hair behind my ear, blowing my nose until it's red. I know what you're thinking...lovely. I even got sunburned...so much for sunblock 60!

Here's the little lady from the commercial shoot What a sweety! She was not shy and just amazing!
Some children can perform. Nothing phased her. I think my jaw must have dropped a few times as she repeated and repeated WITHOUT throwing herself on the floor and then walking away just like my little Connor would have done!
I don't know about you, but I see a little rising star with a beautiful personality!

I am loving this day but as you can probably see, I'm a mess. Argh!!! I give up LOL

Seeing them all work together as a team is simply amazing and they all did a brilliant job from start to finish.
Part of the emotion of it all is having something you invent and feel excited about receive confirmation from industry leaders, like Sully. To walk into such a beautiful home with lights, camera crew, producers and such a star standing there smiling and trying to put me at ease; how can anyone not be overwhelmed?
Realizing this was the result of something I did with all of those late nights and early mornings researching, testing and hanging on to every word that Sully, Billy, AJ Khubani and others ever offered.
I thought I'd have no problem as I'm a very mood stable person but once I walked onto that set, everything hit me at once and I was flooded with emotion.
There really are no words to express how terrified I was of failure, excited I was for success and thankful I felt for the opportunity.

Thank you! to Meredith Smiley at Nordstroms in Tampa who ran to my rescue when taping the infomercial in heat I was not ready for! I have never had such great experience in customer service before :-)

Welcome To My Blog

Appearing on the show was not only the wildest most exciting thing outside of family I've ever done, but I have never shared so much of myself with people outside of my friends and family. It was an emotional journey but I would do it all over again just to meet the wonderful people I was blessed to have met. I also hope my story brings inspiration to anyone who might need it.

I've never had problems sharing my emotions with people and choose to raise my children with open communication; so for me it only makes sense that I be open and share what's in my heart with...*gulp*...all of the world. I never worry about being seen as silly and can always have a good laugh at my own expense. I attribute most of this to being British- nudge nudge...wink wink.

If you haven't seen the show, please check them out by clicking HERE.
Here's the lovely Lisa Kennedy, my son Michael, me and Sully right after the audition Pitch.
To describe my very first pitch I'll use the words 'ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING!' After I was done, I was happy to have been able to walk out on my own accord as my legs had turned all ba'noodley!

Taking the last of my family's money and flying down to LA with my son for the audition brought my invention and dream back alive.

The best advice I can give for anyone pitching their product to any company is to be yourself and be honest about your product.

I learned so much in a few days with this great team. The DRTV spot was fast paced and the taping lasted all day while I was there and still time after that. Many shots of the same thing with different angles so they have a selection to edit with in the end. Creating sound bites and still shots. You should see what goes into making a good chip crunch!

The love for Billy Mays is so strong with all of the people who knew him. His name is always accompanied with a look of endearment and they yell out to Billy while working. All I can think is what a man he must have been. I got to know him through season 1 and thought he was hilarious! By the end of hearing a few words about him from almost everyone I met I couldn't help but feel I had lost a great opportunity in my life to have met an amazing spirit. Rest In Peace Billy Mays.
If you want a good laugh with the first season DVD set...Here's how to order!

The talent that Sully has is incredible. His voice is loud and strong and his words are crisp and clear. You only see a few moments of what he says in the final commercial, but he's there for hours saying the same thing with different ways, words and tones for the editors to work with later on. The editors then put all of his statements together how they please with the different takes of choice.

What an amazing experience! So back home I have my little camera and video editor and I start playing. I wrote my pitch using the same format they do, which makes much more sense after Carla explained how it all works. Before this, I was attempting to have the entire 2 minute pitch in one take. So, 15 DVD disks later :-)
Hmmmm... even with it taken in sections, I'm not as good as Sully and hear all of my statements end the same way...with the pitch of my voice going higher. That sounds annoying LOL...I'll practice :-)

I never thought I would love anything as much as I love this industry- I find it addicting! The more I learn the more I love it and the good people I've met have made it more exciting! Is this even possible?!

I truly believe anyone can achieve anything they want. It just matters how bad its wanted!
